TRANSPARENT METHODOLOGY

Research approach

Reviewed August 30, 2026

VoiceMaxxing is not a medical device or voice therapy. It is designed for education and self-awareness in healthy adults.

Product hypothesis

The loop is measure → score → personalize → controlled practice → re-measure under similar conditions. It aims to make changeable speaking habits trainable, not judge attractiveness.

Exercise families

  • Meaningful pausing and pace
  • Low-effort resonance and comfortable phonation
  • Articulation accuracy
  • Contrastive emphasis and natural variety
  • Transfer into real speaking contexts

What the sources support

The ASHA Voice Disorders Practice Portal describes voice hygiene, resonance, respiratory–phonatory balance, and semi-occluded vocal tract approaches in professional care. Randomized studies have examined flow-resistant tube, Vocal Function Exercises, and resonant voice protocols in specific populations: Kapsner-Smith et al. (2015), Heller-Stark et al. (2024), and Meerschman et al. (2019).

Those clinical results do not guarantee the same outcomes in a self-guided consumer app. VoiceMaxxing uses the principles for cautious educational design; it does not treat pathology.

What remains unknown

A single consumer recording cannot reliably determine attractiveness, personality, or clinical health. Acoustic change may not create the same size of perceptual change. We will not claim success rates before real beta evidence exists.
